iButton is the hard-wearing alternative to RFID cards: a sealed metal key touched to a reader in the cab. There is nothing to demagnetise, bend or leave in a shirt pocket, which is why it holds up well in trucking and plant operations.
It achieves the same result as the RFID kit — trips and behaviour scores tied to a named driver — and is supported directly by the 1-Wire input on our Teltonika trackers.
